Dexter-ous Manicure: Flashback to Enchanted oldie "Dexter"

Hey guys! Long time, no blog? I've been working on my technique for the past few weeks as well as improving my nails (which are long from finished). I have finally come to a point of confidence to post again. So then, here we go!

I recently became extremely addicted to the Showtime original "Dexter." Like finish all eight seasons in a month kind of addiction. I immediately sought after Enchanted's older glitter polish - Dexter. It came surprisingly easy and kind of just fell into my pleading hands. *Thank you EP fairy godmother!!*

Today I chose it as the centerpiece for my first manicure back! Feel special Dexter. ;) I paired it with Zoya Raven, Enchanted Stay Classy San Diego, and Enchanted Djinn in a Bottle.

Dexter could be described as the job of the character in the show. Blood Splatter. It mixes red and black multi-shape glitters (circles and hexes) in a shimmer base. I was extremely surprised with shimmer due to my complete unawareness of this polish!

I chose to top Zoya Raven with Enchanted Djinn in a Bottle to create the ULTIMATE black holo! I am impressed! Not with myself but with the combination! It's killing it!

It's 3:04 AM EST, so I am calling this a job well done and a manicure well loved.
Enchanted Polish Dexter is the only polish I've used that I will officially say it no longer available.

I will be back tomorrow! Xoxo -Jas

Enchanted Polish Seven Nation Army

Disclaimer: One of the polishes used was a very special polish Chelsea and my boyfriend created for my last anniversary. To my knowledge, Chelsea is not making customs currently.

I was really debating on review one of my favorite brands because they are a bit harder to get and a bit on the pricey side ($15 USD) but I wanted to share this with you as more of a daily mani opposed to a complete review.

I chose to do a Jack White manicure using Seven Nation Army and I'm Shakin' (my custom). Both of these are two of my favorite Enchanted's because one is my special Enchanted and the other I actually won a contest and got to name (7NA).

I'm Shakin' was applied with a single coat. It is a perfect combination of blue and green with just the right amount of holographic pigment. This shade was created based on my favorite Jack White solo song. Which I embedded the video below, have funs swinging to that blues-y tune.

I then accented my mani with Seven Nation Army. 7NA is a black and white micro circle glitter in various sizes and intense holographic base. I used two coats for this topper, but that was a personal preference. I typically only use one.

(Edit: photo added below)
I had a friend help me with some lighting issues I was having and really like the way this one is showing the color a bit better and a little less diluted! I am going to make it my 100% goal to show you accuracy! Thanks so much for reading!

I embedded the song I based my name suggest on below. Doesn't it fit perfectly? :)
I wish I had more to say about this elusive brand. Quality is amazing. Pigmentation is amazing. Packaging is amazing. But my main suggestion is, go to her website http://enchantedpolish.bigcartel.com/ and don't forget to sign up for her newsletter. She will never just be in stock. Restocks and sells out usually immediately. What did I get myself into? ;)

Zoya Giovanna Review & Swatches

Long drought in the polish world for me. I am employed by Starbucks, and we are not allowed to wear nail polish. I went almost two weeks without a day off - TWO WEEKS without a complete manicure. My cuticles honestly hate me by the way due to all the dishes being washed here and at home. I didn't remember to take care of them since it's a part of my routine! Anyway, off to the actual manicure!

A coworker gifted me Zoya Giovanna today at work. (I know, I have an incredible coworker ;P) So I went ahead and swatched it for you guys!

(2 Coats of Zoya Giovanna)

Overall, the polish was stunning! I noticed in some lighting it turned an even more teal green to almost a true emerald. I could have definitely gotten away with one coat.

I went ahead and decided to give this a little something extra. Djinn in a Bottle by Enchanted Polish is my go-to holographic top coat. I am definitely a holo addict by the way.

This duo is 100% a keeper! I was really shocked with how amazing it turned out since this is only my second Zoya. I will be giving this brand a full chance in the future! Xoxo.
